DV UNLIMITED Partners with the Here For Perfection Organisation (H4P) – at the Celebration Of Love event for Persons With Disability

The growth of a nation is largely predicated on the worth of its citizens who are the human resource of the land. This truth cuts across barriers, gender, race, tribe etc and this is no different for Ghana.

It is also worth noting that whether a person is with disability or not, that individual is vexed with diverse strengths that when harnessed can be of great resource to his or her environment, hence the essence of not marginalizing persons with disability.

This notion is also the belief of one of the leading manufacturing companies in Ghana, DV Unlimited Company Limited.

Right from its inception some 3 years back, DV Unlimited Company Limited, producers of DV Kliners shower gels and liquid detergents, took to supporting the H4P Organization to reach out to our brethren with disability.

On Tuesday, 14th February, 2017, the H4P Organization in partnership with DV Unlimited Company, hosted another life transforming event.

The event, which was dubbed, the "Celebration of Love" assembled not only students from some special education schools across the country but also stake holders from the disability community as well as some members of parliament.

Hon. Ursula Owusu Akuffo (Left), Minister for Communications and MP for Ablekuma West, CEO of the H4P Organisation (Centre) and Madam Salome Francois (Left), Founder of New Horizon Special School, cutting the cake to launch the 6th Anniversary of H4P.

In explaining the reason for the 'Celebration of Love' event, the CEO of the H4P Organization, Mr Charles Hackman made it clear that, persons with disability constitute 20% of the population of the nation and so must not be overlooked when matters of development are being considered. He explained that the 'Celebration of Love' event was another platform the H4P Organization employed to show love to persons with disability.

The chair person for the event, Hon. Mrs. Ursula Owusu Akuffo, Minister for Communications and MP for Ablekuma West, in her welcome address, commended the H4P organization for their selfless dedication to the wellbeing of persons with disability and also pledged the support of the various ministries and governmental bodies concerned in aligning policies and strategies to also favour persons with disability.

As part of the activities for the day, the H4P Organization took time to also acknowledge the impressive work done in the past 47 years by Madam Salome Francois (Head, New Horizon Special School), in supporting children with special needs. She received the H4P honorary award known as the H4P Life Time Award.

In a short interview with the title sponsor of the event, DV Unlimited Company Limited, the CEO explained that their motivation for supporting the H4P Organization all these years is stemming from their belief that, 'Disability is indeed not Inability' and so they as a company are ready to provide the necessary assistance to the H4P Organization as they have evidentially demonstrated their special support for the disability community.
